MAJOR offer a full custom design and build service to both our agricultural & industrial customers.
We will meet with the client and pull together some draft drawings.Using the latest CAD software, our R&D team will produce full drawings before production to ensure the customer is satisfied and that all requirements have been met.
Below are details of recent commissions undertaken by MAJOR.
MAJOR Drain Beaver for Ward & Burke Construction
Ward & Burke Constriction Ltd are based in Kilcolgan, Co. Galway.(www.wardandburke.ie)
The MAJOR Drain Beaver was designed to assist during water mains construction undertaken by Ward & Burke.The tanker is used to test the pressure in each section of the main as it is being constructed. The high pressure tanker is also used to clear blockages in the drains.
On a day to day basis the tanker is also used for general site cleaning and dust suppression.
Features on this tanker include:
¨Hose reel capable of holding 100m of ½” hydraulic hosing
¨Heavy duty industrial spec ROR 10 stud axle which is sprung and braked
¨Full lights and amber beacon on the top of the tanker
¨Hand brake for additional safety to operator
MAJOR Site Clean Tanker – Quattro UK
Quattro UK Ltd operates a construction waste management, road haulage and materials supply business across three sites in London. The nature of their business means that they are regulated by the Environment Agency, VOSA and Ealing Council.
To ensure the cleanest sites possible Quattro approached MAJOR to design and manufacture MAJOR Dust Suppressor Tank.This tank was incorporated into a Hydrema Dump Truck to control dust in the working environment.
Eamon O’Loughlin and his team at Quattro UK approached other manufacturers but no other company had the expertise to design and manufacture the tanker required.
MAJOR Fire Tender for New Forest Fire Service
The New Forest in Hants, UK is one of Britain's areas of outstanding natural beauty. The New Forest Fire Service has a large area of forest and woodlands to protect in the event of a fire.
MAJOR were commissioned to design and manufacture a water tender tanker to assist the fire tender vehicles should a forest fire break out.This tanker optimises the fire fighters operations to minimise damage to lives and property.
Features include:
¨PTO powered centrifugal pump
¨PTO powered vacuum pump of 12000 litres
¨High capacity reel holding 60 metres of 1” hosing mounted at both sides of the tank to ensure ease of operation by fire fighting crews
¨Raingun with 360 degree rotation to ensure accuracy of the water jet
MAJOR Site Cleaning Tanker – Port of Tyne, Newcastle
MAJOR designed and manufactured this tanker in close consultation with the Port of Tyne Authority.
This tanker features specialist pumps which take sea water from the dock.This water is then transported around the dock and used to clean the site.
This product was shortlisted for an award under the Road Transport Category at the 2008 SED Awards for Excellence in May 2008.For more information click here.
